Light Up Powhatan – An Independence Day Fireworks Celebration is free to attend. However, parking within the park system is paid parking and requires a parking pass.This parking plan is designed to make the event safer, more accessible, and easier to manage for everyone attending. Parking passes can be purchased here on the website under the "Store" tab. 
A parking ticket with the scan bar code is required for all cars entering the park system. The ticket bar code can be printed or shown on your phone.

Paid Parking Locations
Athletic Field Parking Lot — $20 
Located at 2201 Mann Road. This is the closest lot to the event venue. 25% of proceeds support the Powhatan County Parks and Recreation Scholarship fund for camps and programs. Available parking options:
  • ADA Parking – Requires a valid ADA placard or plate
  • Accessible Parking – For guests with limited mobility who do not have an ADA placard
  • General Parking – Available to all guests
Powhatan National Guard Armory Parking Pass — $15
Located at 276 Essayons Drive, this lot is the second closest parking option to the event venue, approximately 0.37 miles away or about a 4-minute walk. A great option for guests looking for convenient parking at a lower price point. This lot also includes reserved parking for event staff and volunteers.

Elizabeth Randolph Lewis YMCA Parking Pass — $15
Located at 2269 Mann Road, this lot is approximately 0.42 miles from the event venue, or about a 12-minute walk. 75% of proceeds from this lot will be donated directly to the YMCA, making this a great option for guests who want to support a local community organization while attending the event.
 
Powhatan Public Library Parking Pass — $15
Located at 2270 Mann Road, this lot is approximately 0.44 miles from the event venue, or about a 12-minute walk. 75% of proceeds from this lot will be donated directly to the Friends of the Library, giving guests an opportunity to support an important local organization while enjoying the event.
